This kit is designed for a Beginner skill level.
Do you already have a box full of fabric scraps? A utility knife and a seam ripper (or other poking tools…) Then this kit may be perfect for you!
Each Half kit will comes with:
- 6”x6” Foam block with double sided adhesive already affixed in place
- Vinyl line drawing affixed to block (this is your guide— the pieces will become your fabric templates)
- Color Map print out
Optional custom made blank wooden frame available as an add-on.
Kinusaiga is the art of creating a painting using silk (or other fabrics). The origins can be traced back to Japanese textile artist Maeno Setsu who pioneered the technique in the late 1980s.
I have been extremely inspired lately by this technique. Creating artworks from my vast collection of line drawings. After sharing a few images on my Patreon and Social media, a few of you have expressed interest in learning!
