This is a DIY project.
This kit is designed for a Beginner skill level.
Each full kit will come with what you need to get started!
- 6”x6” Foam block with double sided adhesive already affixed in place
- Vinyl line drawing affixed to block (this is your guide— the pieces will become your fabric templates)
- Craft knife to cut the line drawing into the foam
- Seam ripper to use as a tuck tool

Optional custom made blank wooden frame available as an add-on.
*While the kit comes with fabrics and a color map- they are suggestions, feel free to use your own stash if you have one… and to stray as desired from my colors!
Kinusaiga is the art of creating a painting using silk (or other fabrics). The origins can be traced back to Japanese textile artist Maeno Setsu who pioneered the technique in the late 1980s.
I have been extremely inspired lately by this technique. Creating artworks from my vast collection of line drawings. After sharing a few images on my Patreon and Social media, a few of you have expressed interest in learning!
